The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire in the Republic of Lebanon by His Excellency the President of the United States of America, Mr. Donald Trump.

In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, commended the efforts exerted by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Lebanon, the Prime Minister, and the Speaker of Parliament. His Excellency reaffirmed the MWL’s full solidarity with the Republic of Lebanon in its efforts to achieve security and stability, and to extend its full sovereignty, along with its legitimate institutions, over all Lebanese territory.
