The Muslim World League Congratulates Syria on Decision to Remove It from the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism

The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed the United States’ announcement of the decision to remove the Syrian Arab Republic from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, congratulated the Syrian Arab Republic, its government and people, on this historic announcement, which supports its right to move forward toward a new future and continue on its promising path, God willing.
His Excellency reaffirmed the MWL’s full support for all measures taken by the Syrian government to fulfill the aspirations of the Syrian people for security and prosperity.
