Dr. Mohammed Alissa received a delegation of US Congress members in his office in Riyadh

Riyadh:
His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, received a delegation of members of the US Congress, in his office in Riyadh. The delegation included: The Republican Representative of Utah, Mr. Chris Stewart, the Republican Representative of the state of Michigan, Ms. Lisa McClain, and the Republican Representative of Pennsylvania, Mr. Guy Reschenthaler, along with Mr. Clay White, Chief of Staff in the Office of Mr. Stewart, Mr. Nick Hawatmeh, Chief of Staff in the Office of Mrs.  McClain, and Mr. Aaron Bonnaure, Chief of Staff in the Office of Mr. Reschenthaler.

During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest were discussed. Dr. Al-Issa stressed on the historical fact that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents the unifying spirit and origin of the Islamic world.

The delegation praised the efforts of the Muslim World League in deepening the concept of common human values since our world is in need for peace and harmony among its societies. The Muslim World League plays a major role in building alliances between countries and international organizations to strengthen the values of friendship and cooperation amongst nations and peoples for the good of all. In this context, the Forum on Common Values Among Religious Followers, hosted by the MWL in the capital Riyadh, was a unique international event, that brought together representatives of major religions around the world. The final statement made a historic change in cooperation among faiths leaders under the umbrella of shared religious and humanitarian values.
