Statement from the Muslim World League

Makkah:

The Muslim World League condemns the recent Iranian attacks that targeted the Kurdistan region of Iraq and resulted in numerous civilian injuries and casualties.

In a statement to the General Secretariat of the Muslim World League, His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammad AL-Issa denounced the attack on Iraq’s security, sovereignty and the safety of its people. His Excellency reiterated the MWL’s firm position rejecting all practices that constitute a violation of international charters and norms. 

On behalf of the MWL’s General Secretariat and its bodies, councils, and assemblies around the world, Dr. Al-Issa affirmed its full solidarity with Iraq in the face of all that threatens its security, stability and territorial integrity. Dr. Al-Issa also offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to Iraq, its government, its people and the victims of the attack, wishing the injured a speedy recovering and asking God Almighty to protect the Iraqi people from all evil and harm.
