The Muslim World League welcomes the signing of the framework agreement by the parties of the transitional period in the Republic of the Sudan, which took place today in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.

In a statement by the MWL’s General Secretariat, His Excellency the MWL Secretary General, Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa offered his congratulations on this important achievement, expressing his confidence that this great step will contribute to achieving the aspirations of the dear Sudanese people for security, stability and development. Dr. Al-Issa also called on everyone to unify positions, exert all efforts to build the future of Sudan, address the urgent humanitarian, security and economic challenges facing its people, and prioritize the national interest.

On behalf of the General Secretariat of the MWL and its international bodies, councils, and assemblies, His Excellency expressed full solidarity and support for the dear Sudanese people at this important and critical time, and in everything that would achieve security, stability and prosperity for the Republic of the Sudan.
