The Muslim World League Commends the Statement Issued by the Foreign Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Arab and Islamic Countries Rejecting Measures in the Occupied West Bank

Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) has welcomed the statement issued by the Foreign Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a number of Arab and Islamic countries, which rejects the decisions and measures taken by the Israeli occupation government aimed at imposing illegitimate Israeli “sovereignty” in the occupied West Bank and displacing the Palestinian people.

In a statement issued by the MWL’s General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, warned of the serious repercussions arising from the continued violations committed by the occupation government, its disregard for international and humanitarian law, and the resulting erosion of prospects for peace. His Excellency underscored the importance of the statement’s warning against the persistence of expansionist policies and unlawful measures in the occupied West Bank, which continue to exacerbate tensions and fuel instability in the region.

His Excellency further renewed his call for the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities by taking effective action to halt these violations and to ensure the implementation of relevant resolutions of international legitimacy. This includes United Nations Security Council resolutions, the New York Declaration for a two-state solution endorsed by the United Nations General Assembly, and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, affirming the Palestinian people’s historic and inalienable right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state. He emphasized that adherence to these principles remains the only viable path toward a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace that guarantees security and stability for the region.
