The Muslim World League Condemns Houthi Terrorist Militia’s Attack on Madinah
Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi terrorist militia against the Taibah electricity distribution station in the city of our noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, Madinah, which provides electricity services to the Prophet’s Mosque. The attack marks a continuation of the militia’s criminal aggression against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with its terrorism now extending to the Two Holy Mosques, in a dangerous provocation to the sentiments of more than two billion Muslims.
In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced the Houthi group’s terrorist approach and its attacks that violate the sanctity of holy sites and target civilian objects, in flagrant violation of the values of our noble religion and the most basic humanitarian principles. His Excellency condemned those who call themselves Ansar Allah, whose actions reflect a terrorist approach that violates religious sanctities as well as religious and humanitarian sentiments. Such acts do not constitute support for Almighty Allah or His Messenger, Peace and blessings be upon him, despite the claims made by this misguided group through its successive terrorist crimes. Rather, they constitute a betrayal of religion and Muslims and a departure from the guidance of Allah and His Messenger, Peace and blessings be upon him.
On behalf of the MWL’s academies, bodies, and global councils, and all Muslim peoples represented under its umbrella, His Excellency reaffirmed full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to deter the terrorism of the aggressors and safeguard the sanctity of the holy sites and the lives of Muslims. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the Kingdom victory against the sinful criminals who have violated the sanctities of the religion and the holy sites of Muslims, and to protect the Kingdom, its leadership, and its people from all harm.
