The MWL Condemns Continued Targeting of Islamic Holy Sites, Civilians, and Civilian Facilities in Saudi Arabia by the Terrorist Houthi Militia
Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi militia’s continued attempts to target Islamic holy sites in Makkah and Madinah, as well as civilian areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with ballistic missiles and drones. By the grace of Allah, the Saudi air defenses successfully intercepted and thwarted all these attacks.
In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, reiterated his condemnation of the Houthi militia’s terrorist approach and its deliberate attacks, which have violated the sanctity of Islamic holy sites and the inviolability of innocent lives, constituting a dangerous provocation to the sentiments of more than two billion Muslims and a flagrant violation of the values of Islam and the most basic humanitarian principles. H.E. Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa added: “This group has named itself ‘Ansar Allah’ (Supporters of Allah), while its actions embody a terrorist approach that violates religious sanctities and offends religious and humanitarian sentiments through successive acts of terrorism. Such actions have nothing whatsoever to do with supporting Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). Rather, they constitute a betrayal of religion and Muslims and a departure from the guidance of Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).”
On behalf of the MWL’s international academies, bodies, and councils, and all Muslim peoples represented under its umbrella, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa reaffirmed full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to deter the terrorism of the aggressors and safeguard the sanctity of Islamic holy sites and the lives of innocent civilians. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the Kingdom victory over the sinful criminals who have violated religious sanctities and Islamic holy sites, and to protect the Kingdom, its leadership, and its people from all harm.
