The Muslim World League Commends the Statement Issued by the Foreign Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Arab, Islamic, and Friendly States Regarding the Decisions of the Occupation Government in the West Bank

Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed the statement issued by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, a number of Arab, Islamic, and friendly countries, as well as the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, condemning the decisions and unlawful measures taken by the Israeli occupation government in the West Bank.

In a statement issued by the MWL's General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, renewed his warning about the serious consequences of the occupation government’s continued violations of international and humanitarian laws and norms. In this context, he expressed appreciation for the clear and firm commitment articulated in the statement to take concrete steps, in accordance with international law, to confront the expansion of illegal settlements in the Palestinian territories, as well as policies of forced displacement, annexation, and related threats.

His Excellency called on the international community and all countries that value justice and peace to adopt both collective and individual measures to put an end to the occupation government’s violations in the occupied Palestinian territories and to enforce international legitimacy resolutions and appeals, including resolutions of the Security Council and the “New York Declaration” on the two-state solution, endorsed by a United Nations General Assembly resolution, affirming the Palestinian people’s historic and inalienable right to self-determination and the establishment of their state as the only path toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace that guarantees security and stability in the region.
