The Muslim World League Condemns the Terrorist Attack on the Syrian Capital, Damascus

Makkah:
The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned the terrorist attack targeting the Syrian capital, Damascus, which resulted in injuries to a number of security personnel and civilians during efforts to dismantle two explosive devices planted by a terrorist cell.

In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, reaffirmed the League’s firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism in all their forms and under any pretext. He also expressed the MWL’s full solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic in confronting all threats to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

His Excellency further conveyed his sincere wishes for the swift recovery of the injured, praying that Allah the Almighty protects the Syrian Arab Republic and its people from all harm.
